Four Days in the Life of David
|
| What does an authentic life lived in relationship with God look
like? David is described as a man after God's own heart. Yet
he was not perfect—he led a life that was at times heroic
and at other times all too human. He conquered foes and built
a kingdom, and yet disappointed his wife, committed adultery, neglected
his children and then lost his kingdom for a time. But through
it all, he was at God's doorstep sharing his life in the most
impassioned way. This study will explore the interplay between
the story of David's life as found in I & II Samuel, with
the inner life of David as found in the songs and heart-felt cries
of the Psalms. In the process we will discuss what it means
to live a life of successes and failures, yet always in concert with
God’s will for our lives. |

He has a strong interest in Genesis 1-3 and how God reveals himself to us through his creation. He found the story of David intriguing because of the way David lived his life as a daily adventure under God. |
