Breakfast and Speaker
Series |
| With the summer growing to a close it is time to start our
Speaker Series again. Our first event will be the Father/Son/Grandson
breakfast on Saturday, September 25th. Note: Our normal breakfasts
will be on the third Saturday each month but this is delayed
one week due to a conflict. Of course, not to show favoritism,
we will follow up with a Father/Daughter/Granddaughter breakfast
on November 20. |
A couple more dates to put on your calendar: |
|
- January 28th and 29th is the Annual Retreat featuring
René Schlaepfer
of Twin Lakes Church in Aptos at Mission Springs Retreat
Center
|
- February 12th is our annual Valentine's Day brunch featuring
Pastor Sheyna L. Heard from ROHI
|
| It is shaping up to be another great series and we hope you
will consider coming for the first time or continuing to enjoy
the great "men's style" breakfast, good fellowship and speakers
that will really interest and inform you. Breakfast starts
at 7:30 am and we try hard to get you out by 9:00 am so you
can have time for family. |

History |
| Saratoga Federated Church's (SFC) Men's Fellowship
program began in 1960, with a constitution that defined the
program's purpose "to promote Christian fellowship among
the men of the Church and their families, and give opportunities
for service and spiritual growth." The group initially
met Sunday mornings for breakfast before church. In 1976, a
set of guidelines was added to describe us as a group that
helps men fulfill their roles as Christians; that provides
a way to bring newcomers into fellowship; and nourishes small
group interaction where men can learn to live more effectively
as Christians. |
