Estimated Trip Cost:  $500 Bus; $400 ADULT Fly; ($100 Deposit/Confirmation)

Everyone is asked to carry their OWN petty cash for food on road & souvenirs.
No large fundraiser is planned, therefore, EVERYONE needs to help raise TEAM support!!

Monday, March 24, 3:00 pm Strong students/adults for food delivery to offsite freezer
Thursday, April 3, 2:00 pm Strong student/adults for food from freezer storage to SFC

Travel & Packing Plans: Everyone must help!!

Wednesday, April 2, 12-2 pm Adults only - Produce washing/snack packing
Thursday, Apr. 3, 9:00 am 4 strong men to pick up trucks from rental agency
Thursday, April 3, 11:00 am Many strong men for equipment packing
Thursday, April 3, 2:30 pm Adults only food packing
Thursday, April 3, 6:00 pm Full team luggage & truck packing
Note: Team members bring ALL LUGGAGE to SFC at 6:00 pm to the back parking lot. Everyone is expected to stay & help pack!
Leave your backpack, PJ's, toiletries & change of clothes out, so you will have something to sleep in on Saturday Night. You will only have your backpack at our hotel in San Diego. Put "fresh" set of clothes in a ziplock bag for Saturday return trip home on bus.
Friday, April 3rd "Early Team" Trucks Leave 6:30 am
Saturday, April 4th "Early Team" Into Mexico 11:00 am
  Bus team meet for prayer 8:00 am
  Busses Leave SFC 8:30 am sharp!
  Arrive @ Days Inn, Mission Valley for night's lodging
Sunday, April 5th Breakfast & head for border 9-10:30 am
  Cross border into Mexico - Pray for safety!
  Set up camp / Dinner / Study building plans / Campfire / Worship
Monday-Thursday, April 6-9th Construction 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, daily
Thursday, April 9th On-site fiesta for Mexican families Late afternoon
Friday, April 10th Pack up & cross border - Pray for safety!! ~11:00 am
  Arrive @ Valencia Hotel dinner time ~6:30 pm
Saturday, April 11th Arrive @ SFC ~4:00-5:00 pm

NOTE: Often there are delays at border crossings, so estimated arrival times can vary.


Personal Items: Make sure you read through this list! Here are some necessities.
EVERYONE MUST carry a passport and photo ID. If you are not US citizen, carry a passport and/or green card.
  • Heavy duty work gloves
  • Hat, warm jacket, sweatshirt
  • Hammer w/name on it!
  • Boots or extra pair of shoes for rain!
  • Water bottle w/name on it!
  • Flash light
  • Sun shower or bucket for showers
  • Swim suit & sandals for showers/pool in motel
  • Toilet paper/kleenex
  • Liquid bath soap
  • Sunscreen (no baby oil!)
  • Other personal toiletries/medications
  • Towels/washcloth
  • Purell-type hand wash & lotion for dryness
  • Old clothes for construction
  • Swimsuit & clean change of clothes for motel stop
  • Sleeping bag & cot or air mattress
  • Bible, notebook, pen
Students: Cell phones and iPods NOT Allowed. Adult leaders will collect until return trip.

Deadline for Required Forms

February 15, 2009 Student and adult application and $100.00 deposit
March 1, 2009 Deadline for any trip changes
March 14, 2009 Work day - ALL required forms due: Application, AMOR Medical Release, AMOR Release of Liability, AMOR Mission Participation Form
March 22, 2009 Balance of trip payment (see above), at team lunch
